{"id":140,"date":"2012-06-26T03:36:29","date_gmt":"2012-06-26T03:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ils652.org\/blog\/?page_id=140"},"modified":"2012-07-27T09:33:30","modified_gmt":"2012-07-27T13:33:30","slug":"cathy-maloney","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.ils652.org\/blog\/?page_id=140","title":{"rendered":"Cathy Maloney"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Everyone:\u00a0 I apologize if I am repeating myself but I was no sure if I created a new page or just posted to the group page.<\/p>\n<p>Once I complete this course, I will be almost to the finish line with my degree.\u00a0 I have no experience with this software but have been fortunate to have assistance as I am doing my internship at VOICES where there is much help on site with technical issues.<\/p>\n<p>VOICES has been a great experience thus far &#8211; wonderful people working for a worthy and noble cause.\u00a0 I am humbled by what they have accomplished.\u00a0 I attended their fundraiser last week in Manhattan and visited the Living Memorial site prior so that I could truly understand what the goal is for this project.\u00a0 If you have not been there, I highly recommend that you go.\u00a0 It is a simple and beautiful memorial to the victims and I was told that the families are very happy with the end result (at least as happy as one could be under the circumstances).<\/p>\n<p>I am looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow in class!<\/p>\n<p>-Cathy<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"post-to-page-title\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ils652.org\/blog\/?p=434\">Chris Brown<\/a><\/h2>\n<span class=\"post-to-page-date\">2012-07-20 10:19:56<\/span>\n<span class=\"post-to-page-author\">cathy<\/span>\n<div class=\"post-to-page-content\">\n<p>I wanted to share that I enjoyed the session yesterday with Chris Brown.\u00a0 Seeing his &#8220;mini-studio&#8221; set up in the conference room and witnessing the conversion from a casette to digital was very interesting. paper, digital, any format.\u00a0 To be able to project manage an archival collection is like heaven to me.\u00a0 The best of both worlds &#8211; project management AND libraries &#8211; yea!<\/p>\n<p>For me, I wish that the class was also offered in the Fall and Spring.\u00a0 Five weeks is a short amount of time to learn so much.\u00a0 Moreover,\u00a0\u00a0I am\u00a0really loving the course that I don&#8217;t want it to end &#8211;
