I also know that there are many reasons to digitize, not just to preserve&#8230;but I am still a bit confused about the connection.\u00a0 The two terms have been consistently brought up in the readings as not synonymous&#8230;but I want to know more.\u00a0 Please help clarify.\u00a0 Also&#8211;maybe I missed it&#8211;but what exactly is the definition of preservation.\u00a0 I have that digitization is the process by which analogue content is converted into binary code read by a computer&#8230;but preservation, not so sure!<\/p>\n<p>Also, are we (in this course) mainly digitizing page images or full text as mentioned in ch. 10?
